Younger Boys Bedroom - BEFORE

Our task was to clear out old toys and tidy the room. There was a lot of broken toys and toys with missing parts that needed to be sorted through and either found and put back together or thrown away. All the Kallax boxes needed emptying and sorting along with under the beds too.

This was a 4 hour session

Once we had pulled everything out and sorted all the toys, we bagged up 5 carrier bags of rubbish, 2 large laundry bags full to take away with us and many other items that needed to go back to other rooms of this home.

This was a 4 hour session

Older Boys Bedroom - BEFORE

Our job description was to clear out old toys and books and to make the newer items more accessible.

Most of the newer games were stuffed at the back under his bed, while older toys he'd grown out of filled the kallax unit leaving no room for his clothes that were left on the floor.

This job felt too overwhelming to the parent in question who didn't know where to start.

Older Boys Bedroom - AFTER

Once we had pulled out all the toys, games, clothes and discarded rubbish out from under the bed, down the back of the bed and from all the kallax boxes. We pulled out the kallax unit, hoovered behind and dusted the top. We then sorted through the toys and games to put back age appropriate games for this 13 year old boy.

We took away 2 laundry bags full of old toys. Filled a bin bag with rubbish and salvaged a large pile for recycling before giving the room a quick hoover to finish the look.

This was a 4 hour session.

Cupboard Clear Out

This bedroom cupboard needed emptying, sorting through and decluttering.

We managed to clear out 2 large laundry bags of toys and clothes that we took away to be rehomed.
one large bag of clothing the client kept to give to a local charity of her choice.
A large bag of toys the client kept to give to another family and a bin bag of rubbish and a pile of recycling.

We sort these items into the above sections during our session with our clients approval so that all is left to do is take the bags to their designated destination after we leave.

Part of our job was to rehome of some the clothing into under bed storage boxes.

We hoovered the bottom of the cupboard. leaving the area clean and fresh ready to use.

This was the best part of a 3 hour session

Under Stairs Cupboard

Our mission was to clear out this under stairs cupboard to make it more user friendly. The large pile of board games (Thinned out and remaining games put on a shelf in the child's bedroom) made it difficult to reach games at the bottom and left little room for accessing household appliances such as the mop and bucket and carpet cleaner. A rail of coats is now in full easy reach so the family can tidy away outdoor wear quickly.

This was a 1 hour session.

Children's Boy/Girl Bedroom - BEFORE

Here we had the task to declutter and rearrange this bedroom to give more floor space and play room.

We took away a bulk load of un-used toys (Most of which went on our community Facebook page and was given away to the local members of the public and organisations/charities including a Toddler Group)
We pre-advised ordering some matching boxes for the kallax units during our Free 30 minute consultation so we could complete the look in one session. The beds were moved to create a fun and space saving design which doubled the floor space!

This was a 6 hour session

Shelf Unit

This shelf unit was in the Lounge area, but we have moved this to the dining room, thrown out 2 big bags full of old un-useable craft supplies, taken away a few of the toys the children have grown out of and created a cleaner more user friendly space.

This was a 2 hour session

Kallax Unit

This unit was being used for a little girl at the start of our session, but with a set of fresh boxes has become a perfect space for her big brother.

Lounge

We simply moved the shelf unit to a more suitable spot in the home, along with the printer and swapped the console table for a couple of beanbags that were without a home to give a more relaxing feel to this lounge.

This was a 1 hour session

Children's Cabin Beds

Under this child's cabin bunk bed, was a mess of toys and clothes with no real room for play. We cleared out all of the unused clothes & toys and moved the second bed underneath creating a cosy fun space to sleep whilst creating much needed floor space.

Box Unit

This box unit was placed in a corner that was not easily accessible with a range of mixed sized boxes. We moved the room around and added fresh boxes to give this unit a whole new lease of life.

Children's shelf unit and TV area

Placing the desk under the Tv created more space keeping all the electricals in one place to make the room flow better.

Older Boys bedroom

Decluttering and making space for clothing so that the floor space is freed.

While the photos don't do this session justice, inside the kallax boxes are all organised and no longer over flowing and under the bed is no longer rammed full with old toys but instead has empty drawers ready to use.

Younger Boys Fancy Dress Box , Cuddly toys and Books

There was all sorts at the bottom of the Fancy dress box. Once cleared out we were able to fill it back with just fancy dress items. We took away a handful of soft toys and books and tidied the area.

Small Bathroom

This small en-suite bathroom has very little storage space and a lot of products to store.
We did whittle down the amount of products and added a small basket under the towel rail for the shower products.
A small plant placed in the corner and changing the bright bath mat and towel for a more neutral colour completed the look.

This was a 1 hour session.

Younger Boys Bedroom

With all the mess cleared away and beds made and the pictures from the windowsill placed up on the high unit, it's a nice space for the boys to play with all their toys.

Under Bed Storage Boxes

We have been to this destination on 2 separate occasions.
The first time we decluttered and organised this bedroom leaving these storage boxes empty ready for round 2.

The second time, after clearing out a cupboard full of clothing, we simply folded and filled these storage boxes with clothes the client wanted to keep, making sure we organised as we went.
